$10.7 Million dollars was stolen from a St Thomas man There is NO HONOUR in "HOME HARDWARE" April 3, 2007 Updated December 28, 2007 I just received an email from a former Home Hardware shopper. She informs me that some Home Hardware Store Owners claim they don't own the company. Where is the pride of ownership? Here's what Home Hardware Store Owners website states when you click the "Contact" link. This is an actual cut and paste from the website of Home Hardware Stores Ltd. (start of paste section) "All 1,000 Home Hardware, Home Building Centre, Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Furniture Dealers are independent Canadian storeowners who, collectively, own the company. When you speak with your local Dealer, you are speaking to the owner of not just the store but of the company." (end of paste section)

Visitor support to the website is incredible and more than 1,700 stopped by this week alone and it's growing daily. My greatest thanks! These pages regard the business practices and ethics of HOME HARDWARE STORES LTD. only! I have devoted 16 years of my life to invent, develop, establish, and promote my products in the marketplace. I've employed 17 people, driven more than 2 million miles, paid out hundreds of thousands to make my dreams and goals a reality, for years I've had both an office and manufacturing facility at an enormous cost, my telephone expense is several thousand per year, I often work over 100 hours per week on my business. Like many of you, I worked long and hard so that my son could take over the reigns while I took early retirement and devoted my time to developing several other inventions of mine that I know you'd enjoy a lot more than Liqui-Fire Pipe Thaw. My years of hard work established healthy 6 figure sales per winter with an incredible annual growth rate. Owners of Home Hardware Stores Ltd. destroyed my dreams and my children's reward. It's good that some owners of Home Hardware Stores like Harry Geerlinks and Frank Geerlinks go to church on Sunday. Their staff are required to work for regular pay on Sunday to increase owner profits. There are 5 staff that work the service desk on a Sunday but if one of them is off the other 4 working staff don't get a split of the 5th staff's pay, just the work load. In the words of Geerlinks Home Hardware, "If you want to play with the big boys, then you have to play by the big boy rules!" It would shock Walter Hachborn to know what's become of his once honourable dream and Christian business beliefs. Each and every Home Hardware Store owner believes this practice to be ethical by condoning it as they jointly own the co-op. Only one owner was sympathetic, but to this date I know of nothing that has been done to change this disgraceful practice. Ask your local Home Hardware to explain why he or she thinks it's okay to use my product (SKU 3211-358) without my permission to redirect my sales to another company. Ask them why they have not paid compensation for this, and remember they all own and are accountable for these ethics and practices as they own Home Hardware Stores Ltd. My opinion is this: This isn't about you and I, it's about honesty, and fairness for all. If you believe everyone should have a fair chance at life then we can't let this stand. I detest bullying, identity theft, deception, and those who don't understand that "No means No." The only way you and I can stand up for honour and justice is to not spend our money at stores with these practices. Tell the stores you disagree with it. Tell your home builder you won't buy a home if the materials come from these stores. And tell everyone about Home Hardware. Hey Home Hardware! For shopping at HOME HARDWARE, now use RONA, PRO HARDWARE, HOME DEPOT, or COPPS This is legal and ethical as stated and practiced by Home Hardware Stores Ltd. April 10, 2006 Fax sent to Home Hardware Stores Ltd. to stop using my property! Home Hardware Stores was politely asked to stop redirecting my Liqui-Fire Pipe Thaw sales and interest by retailers and consumer to another product. The knock-off product is supplied by one of Home Hardware Stores Ltd's corporate associate members of the C.C.S.P.A. Home Hardware Stores Ltd. insist this practice is both legal and ethical. January 16, 2006 Businesses of questionable ethics that I will NOT deal with!
