What's up with Home Hardware Stores LTD All that you think you see at Home Hardware Stores may not be as it seems. When Beaver Lumber was purchased by Home Hardware Stores Ltd., some owners lost their stores because their former competitor Beaver Lumber was larger than their Home Hardware Store. What's going to happen when Tru-Value Stores are going to have the same effect. Call one up and see if they also don't carry and switch out identical products as your head office. If you don't think so, call a Tru-Value Hardware Store and ask for Liqui-Fire. Yes that is my product, sku 3211-358 and every store of any company banner profited by $6.50 per sale for years before your head office started taking your money. So check your store profit margin on 3211-349. I know it's not $6.50 profit per bottle, so what the heck is the head office you own doing to your profits? Canadian Tire, Tru-Value and others carried it for years but at the same time as Home Hardware Stores struck some kind of deal, so did Canadian Tire and Tru-Serv. I wondered who's pockets are getting the gold lining by cutting YOUR STORE PROFITS? I saw one Home Hardware Store receive stock that was labeled and packaged for Canadian Tire Stores. The packaging was removed and the stock went out with Home Hardware pricing gun stickers on it. Did your store get that same deal? Why is Home Hardware Stores helping Canadian Tire to sell it's stock? Why is Home Hardware Stores Ltd. substituting product that are less profitable for you at the store level? Why is Ray Gabel's pension going to be so huge compared to your retirement package? It will possibly be under $200 million just like the head of Home Depot. It's available online. Why with a nationally honoured "Hall of Fame" business manager plus approximately 1,100 stores in Canada do these searches come up before your own? It's consumer driven, that's why. I have provided the links so that you can see for yourselves. Below are some consumer Google searches.
st - Google search "Home Hardware Stores Ltd." in quotations and look at the 3rd and 4th results. http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=%22Home+Hardware+Stores+Ltd.%22&btnG=Search&meta=cr%3DcountryCA
nd - Google search "Home Hardware Stores" in quotations it's the 6th result. http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=%22Home+Hardware+Stores%22&btnG=Search&meta=cr%3DcountryCA
rd - Google search Ray Gabel. It's the 1st and 2nd results on the first page. http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=Ray+Gabel&btnG=Search&meta=cr%3DcountryCA
th - Google search for Steve Somersford, he's the 1st and 2nd listing and he's a national buyer for Home Hardware Stores Ltd. And every online photo of Steve has vanished. http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=Steve+Somersford&meta=cr%3DcountryCA
th - Look at the 1st and 2nd results for Harry Geerlinks. He was the cover boy on the Home Hardware Stores national catalogue. http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=Harry+Geerlinks&meta=
th - Look at the 1st and 2nd results when you Google Frank Geerlinks. He also was a cover boy on the Home Hardware Stores national catalogue. http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=Frank+Geerlinks&meta=
th - If you Google search for "support crime" look at the first result. It comes before Crime Stoppers. http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=Support+Crime&meta=cr%3DcountryCA
th - Google search for, Shop at Home Hardware and even without quotation marks, it's the 2nd result. http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=%22Shop+at+Home+Hardware%22&meta=cr%3DcountryCA 9th - And it's the same for many common consumer searches we've polled. It's getting that way with Canadian Tire, True-Value Stores, Recochem and more. It's surprising how consumers respond to corporate theft from the everyday hard working Canadian. Some Home Hardware Stores and Furniture Store Owners are beginning to write and express their concerns about Home Hardware Stores Ltd. Some store owners claim they don't have a say in anything Home Hardware Stores Ltd. does. Here are a few things some have complained about. Things like no profit sharing, not having a voice in the company direction, not having a platform for remedying owner's decent, having an immovable CEO, etc. So why would Home Hardware Stores Ltd. want it's stores to carry a product that means they have to sell 3 times as many to make the same profit? It's because of inside trade deals that don't help the stores. As one store owner put it, "It is actually quite brilliant; in a cunning, underhanded way of course." So now you can ask someone, "What the heck is going on with Home Hardware Stores?"
