December 2008 Cause and Effect.

It's caused by misguided
political directives, corporate greed, business mismanagement, theft, and
unethical practices. When political policy is lobbyist influenced it profits
secular interest and not the whole economy. When corporations get to greedy
and/or steal from small companies it hurts us all; the economy and eventually
these same corporations.
An auto Pac rescue will
benefit only a few. St. Thomas ON. Ford plant is still working and most have
newer homes and vehicles. In St. Thomas it's rumored that Geerlinks Home
Hardware may lose its two largest home builders. Homes there remain un-sold,
the downtown grows increasingly baron, and industrial/commercial space vacancies
rise due to the disappearance of independent small businesses. Suggestions of
bankruptcies loom in the city causing consumers further concern. Even
advertising ploys such as listing homes cheaper by excluding lot prices aren't
creating jobs and sales (excluding lot price).
Remember Harry and
Frank Geerlinks support this criminal activity. Rumored also; they didn't want
the expense of erecting the
new humongous yard storage building at
their store so head office did. Being totally independently owned stores who
decision is it? Twice since Home Hardware supported this theft it has changed
it's nationally recognized theme song rather then do what is right. Without
customers employed across the country at small businesses like mine where will
your customers work?
Bottom line economics leave nations
poor. Even President Bush asked, "When enough is enough?" when Exxon boasted
the world's highest profit ever. Life in Exxon countries is so poor there
really isn't any economy or a housing industry. Profits go up greatly
while wages don't. How stupid are these business leaders?
Companies that steal are only
now beginning to see the devastation to the economy they themselves caused. The
economy is a delicate balance of small, medium and large corporations. When a
corporation like Recochem steals intellectual property and retailers like those
mentioned knowingly support theft jobs are lost, not created. Recochem simply
adds the stolen product to its automated filling line.
Thousands of small companies
fell victim to theft and are closed or closing causing further loss of Canadian
income, income spent at these same stores that steal and support theft. Stores
like Home Hardware, Canadian Tire, Tru-Value, and Country Depot are among
these. Recochem and S.C. Johnson are the corporate giants who stole my
employee's livelihoods and spending power. Both these giants are supported by
the stores listed above. Hundreds of thousands small businesses across the
country give people incomes to spend at your stores. Recochem's machines don't
buy from you and the above businesses can't employ the entire nation. How
strong is a housing market without employed people?
It's now up to you to be a
leader! Stand up and do the right thing and what's best for our children and
