Does Home Hardware support Canadians?
Yes it's true. Shopping at Canadian Tire & Home Hardware cost thousands of Canadian jobs. Look at Home Hardware's 600,000 items and you will see Home Hardware chose to shop outside of Canada. Things like nails, bathtubs, tub surrounds and thousands of other item that are made in Canada, but Home Hardware bought these from other countries. Home Hardware encourages you and I to buy locally (from their stores). One proud Canadian woman thought she was supporting Canadian employment when she bought from Home Hardware. She was utterly shocked when she read the labels on her new bathroom accessories. Not one piece that was made in Canada. Home Hardware DOES NOT want you to save your money, they want more of it. Be sure to tell others about this website and email this link to everyone you email. You could save someone money right now. Plus you'd be helping to save Canadian jobs! Her new pedestal sink was made in China. That's right. Home Hardware Sku # 3268-528 called the Victorianna Pedestal Basin was labeled like this: "IMPORTED BY/IMPORTED PAR HOME HARDWARE STORES LIMITED HH#3268-528 China/Chine Imagine her shock. We've all been told by Home Hardware to shop locally as it's good for the economy. But whose economy is it good for when Home Hardware shops in China or South America, or Africa? We have Canadian companies ready to make plastic tub surrounds. Acrylic bath tubs can be made in Canada to employ Canadians. We have a hurting economy that needs these jobs. We have Canadian families who could use these incomes. Do we need trim from South America? We have plenty of trees in Canada! Also see: How to buy roofing shingles. Earlier on I asked the question, "Does Home Hardware support Canadians?" Now you know the answer. Television images are deceiving and Paul Straus has really marketed Home Hardware to appear as caring and local. Like the song says, "Home Owners helping Homeowners" but it really at the expense of Canadians. So they sponsor Nascar and hockey just to get the Home Hardware television image out there. Big deal. We want our jobs back in Canada. |
